Our Last Day

“Just smile, Ginny!” Harry commands as he points the camera at me.
I want to smile, since I’ve had a wonderful time, but it is our last full day at the castle where we have spent our honeymoon. I’m also missing Tina dreadfully so I want to get back.
“Ginny…”
“Oh, all right, I’ll smile!” I plaster a grin on my face and wait for the click.

I hop down from the fountain and run back to Harry, kissing him when I reach him. “Was that good enough?”
"Hmmm... I think we'll need to do that again." He leans down for another kiss.
I put my hand up and stop him, "Not that you prat, the picture?"
He wraps his arms around me and pulls me tightly to him. "The picture is wonderful, but doesn't compare in the least with the real thing."
I roll my eyes and try not to grin too much over his compliment. “Where did I leave my shoes?” I ask as I look around for my sandals. We are eating dinner in the formal ballroom tonight.
He squeezes me a bit tighter and picks me up. "I think you left them on the other side of the fountain."
I laugh as he carries me to the other side and deposits me to put them on. We walk hand in hand up to the dining room for dinner and are seated at once for dinner. I glance at the menu and pick something randomly, not really caring what I eat. I’m sure that anything will be good. I hand the menu to the waiter and Harry does the same. “I can’t believe it has been a week already.”
Harry's face falters for a moment, "Don't remind me, the only thing I'm really looking forward to is getting back to Tina."
I nod in agreement and take a small sip of my wine. “Still, it will be nice to get back into a normal routine.”
He grins ruefully at me, "What is normal for us?"
“Fair point,” I reply and reach my hand across the table. “At least everything has been quiet. If something had happened then the Muggles would have noticed it.” Sighing, I simply enjoy having him kiss my hand. “We have things to accomplish when we get back.”
His eyes darken momentarily, "I know, after that last round of attacks we need to really move with recruiting the old DA to the Order."
A thought that has been more and more prevalent over the last few days pops back into the forefront of my mind. I look down at our linked hands and whisper, “That might be all I’m doing for the Order if I’m…” I don’t want to jinx us but the possibility that I could be pregnant continues to crop up for me.
He squeezes my hand gently. "You'll have plenty to do, luv. I've got big plans for the new Order Headquarters once Hermione finds us a location." He winks at me, "Who do you think the Order is going to use to ward and protect our assets?"
“I’m just not used to having to take a step back,” I say and then thank the waiter as he brings us bread. “I just want to be useful.”
He runs his fingers through his hair, I can tell he wants to say something that will make it all right for me, "Ginny I don't know what to say. If it really is bothering you to be out of action," he swallows, "and you aren't pregnant already, we could, you know wait..."
“It’s not that,” I say quickly. “I do want a baby but I… I guess I really want you to understand that it is going to be a huge adjustment for me.” I smile, trying to reassure him. “I mean, more of an adjustment than just having a baby.”
He leans forward and grasps my other hand. His eyes are sparkling in the candlelight. "Do you think that anything that happens from here on out can be more challenging than what we've done to get here?"
“Oh don’t say that! Every time someone says something like that, it always gets worse.”
He pulls my hands to his face and kisses my fingers. "I'm sorry, luv, I'm just happy that things are going so well for us, I'll try not to jinx it."
“I am glad that things are going so well too.” I get lost in thought for a moment before adding, “At least I know that things will continue to go right between us.”
He smiles and his cheeks redden a bit. "To me that is the main thing that matters."
We eat dinner and slip off to our room to relax through our last night. I’ve not had a panic attack once and for that I am truly grateful.
Harry, much like he has for the entire week, is even more affectionate that before we were married.
It isn't long before I'm laying face down on the bed while he straddles me giving me a sinfully luxurious back rub. Potter, you've missed your true calling. “This feels wonderful,” I mummer into the bed.
While I can't see it I know he's wearing the cheekiest grin on his face. "It certainly does."
“I’m the one getting the massage,” I reply instantly, feeling my mind fuzz over in bliss.
"Ahhh... but I'm the one getting to run my hands all over this wonderful body." He punctuates his statement by giving my bum a gentle squeeze.
I shake my head and smile, “You’re incorrigible.”
"Absolutely," he gently slaps my bottom before working his fingers back up my spine causing me to groan.
“Have I ever told you that you have magical hands?” I ask as I start to roll over. Harry moves to the side so that I can make it to my back and look up into his eyes.
"No, but it's nice to hear." He resumes his gentle caresses, tickling my stomach.
I tug gently at his arm until he’s lying down next to me. I cup his cheek and guide his lips down to mine. Very slowly I deepen the kiss, wanting to draw out the moment for as long as possible. He groans into my mouth and shudders. A thrill runs through my body to know I have the power to affect him that way. Make every moment count…
Harry suddenly breaks away and looks down at me, his eyes smoldering. “What do you think about driving home on my bike?”
“The bike Sirius left you?”
He nods and I grin, loving the idea. “You’ll look sexy as a biker chick.”
I laugh and pull him down for another kiss. I know we’re going to make every moment count.
