I wake and instantly try to stand. "Hold still Ginny!" I hear someone say but I push away, blinking as my eyes try to adjust to the bright light.

I close the door to the nursery quiet, so I don’t wake Tina or Cormag, and jump when I feel someone touch my arm.

“It’s me,” Harry whispers and I glare at him for startling me. Before I can say anything though, he is pulling me away from the door and I can tell instantly from his tense shoulders that something is wrong. “The wards on our flat have been breached.”

Ella and I floo from our flat in to Susan’s office. She isn’t present but I didn’t expect her to be, as I know that the older children are in lessons. We walk hand in hand up to the nursery and we round the corner to see Tina waiting for us right outside the door.

“Neenee!” Tina yells but stops and doesn’t move towards me.

To say the least, I am surprised. “Hi Tina!” I walk towards her but she isn’t looking at me, she’s watching Ella. “Ella, do you remember Tina?”

“This is your house?”

I glance over at Ron to see his expression; he is obviously gobsmacked. “Yeah, what’s wrong with it?” I ask defensively.

“It’s yellow! Could you have picked a more… girlie house?! Poor Harry… he’s completely-”

I interrupt him before he can say something stupid, “I wouldn’t finish that sentence if I were you.”

Instead of going straight to The Phoenix House, I make a small stop at our home to inventory all of the rooms. We are going to need furniture and Twillfitt and Tattings was kind enough to owl a catalogue to me. I’m going to order the furnishings we will need.

I walk slowly through the house, listing out what we will need and end up in our bedroom. I add a larger bed to the list and mentally put our bed in a guest room. I had already picked out smaller beds for the other rooms although I’m not sure I want to examine why.

I pause at the nursery door and push it open, seeing the rocking chair in the otherwise empty room. I sit down in the chair again and push off, rocking slowly as I watch the mural on the wall, move. What do we need for this room? I don’t even examine it, I just write.

I arrive at Phoenix House, actually Apparating today to our house in Hogsmeade and cutting through the back garden, making the trek until I see Neville’s beautiful garden.

I knock on the door and Hoban answers the door, greeting me warmly and telling me that the toddlers are up in the nursery with another one of the house elves, Winby. I thank Hoban and trod up to the nursery, finding Rachael, Tina, Cormag and Liam playing.

I arrive by floo in Susan’s office this week to play with the children and find her, once again in her office, and not alone. She is sitting, scratching out a note and looks up in greeting.

Then I see her; Tina pokes her head out from behind Susan’s chair to look at me, before hiding again.

“Hi Tina,” I say, walking over to them.

I am glad that I decided to come see the children at Phoenix House and also thankful that Susan said I could come. I have arranged to be there once a week and I am hopeful that my time with the children will be healing for me… and possibly fun for them. I floo into Susan’s office to see her holding one of the toddlers who lets out a small sneeze as I brush myself off. “Oh, I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to cause so much dust.”

“It isn’t you,” Susan assures me. “Tina has a cold.”

“Aw,” I walk over and look at the little girl. Her big, brown eyes peak out at me from beneath a lot of thick, wavy brunette hair. She gives a pitiful sniff and rubs at her eyes. “Hi sweetie, how old are you?”
